Mauritian skyscape...

I'm not at all in Mauritius now, but here above is a preparatory sketch of a view from the island. As I have been there a few times with opportunities to study skies like this one mentally or noted down in my sketchbooks. This helps when I work at home with eventually my pictures. It's preferable to use your own photographs, rather than someone else's from a place you might not even been to. 

The preparatory sketches tend to be more spontaneous than bigger works.
